Cost-Efficient Fully-Integrated Aviation Services
Bristow is targeting the growing demand for reliable, fully-integrated aviation services by providing fixed-wing with rotary-wing flight connectivity in the UK, Australia, Brazil and Africa, to offer convenient point-to-point scheduled and charter transportation services to clients transferring workers offshore.
Integrated Aviation Consortium (IAC)
Established 20 years ago, the Integrated Aviation Consortium (IAC) is a partnership involving Bristow Helicopters Limited (BHL), Eastern Airways and five major oil and gas companies to deliver aviation logistics in the northern North Sea sector.
The IAC, comprising five major oil companies: BP, CNR, Enquest, Enquest Sullom Voe, TAQA and Total, transports workers from Aberdeen Airport to the Shetland Islands. From there passengers are either transported onward to offshore installations in the Shetland Basins, or continue their journeys to onshore destinations on the Shetland Islands.
BHL is the lead contractor responsible for overall management of flying operations and provides an integrated single point of contact for helicopter, fixed wing and airport management services to the IAC. Eastern Airways provides chartered fixed wing flights between Aberdeen Airport and Shetland, each of which carries up to 70 passengers.
Bristow Logistics Services Shetland (BLSS)
Launched in 2016, Bristow Logistics Services Shetland is a new partnership between Bristow Helicopters Limited and Eastern Airways to deliver a fully integrated single transportation solution to clients. An addition to Bristow’s work at Scatsta with the IAC, BLSS allows Bristow to contract directly with new clients.
The BLSS service transports workers from Aberdeen Airport to Scatsta Airport in the Shetland Islands on fixed-wing aircraft, with passengers continuing their journeys to nearby onshore destinations or transported offshore by helicopter to installations in the east, west and southern Shetland basins.
As the only helicopter operator at Scatsta, Bristow is able to turn around helicopter flights faster. Unlike any other operator, Bristow has additional back-up support from its team at Sumburgh Airport to assist when required.
